Carmela's passion for food's transformative power to bring people together, to create joy and to harness happiness is casual, infectious and accessible. 
The community where Carmela grew up in Jerusalem was a diverse one, inhabited by Moroccans, Egyptians, Kurds, Yemeni, Spaniards, Uzbeks and Eastern Europeans. From an early age, Carmela was exposed to the various cooking approaches endemic to these culinary traditions. Today, Carmela brings her expertise and enthusiasm to students from every walk of life and all ability levels. ​
